hot or cold orange beverage

The warmth of this beverage, which contrasts with the coolness of the orange wedges, is pleasantly surprising. The sensation is particu-larly invigorating. This concoction can also be served cold.

Preparation : 15 minutes

Baking : 10 minutes

Efficiency : 4 to 6

Ingredients

Instructions

1. Wash an orange and remove the zest. Remove the wedges from all 3 oranges. Set aside.

2. Split the vanilla bean in two lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds using the end of a knife and place them in a pot. Add the orange juice and all the ingredients with the exception of the wedges and mint.

3. Bring to a boil on medium heat and remove from the heat after it first boils. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes, the time to brew and cool down. Strain into a pitcher.

4. Divide the wedges among 4 tall glasses and pour in the warm juice. Garnish with mint, if desired.
